Maximize Living Space

This 2,000 square foot basement was transformed into a family destination. The previously unfinished basement was converted into a living room, recreation area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom – doubling the house’s living space. Sound dampening materials were incorporated to separate movie night and other activities from the main floor of the house. With the added privacy, this basement has become a place for entertainment and visiting relatives to enjoy all the comforts of home. Additional features include a radiant heated floor in the bathroom, an egress window in the bedroom, updated HVAC, ample kitchen cabinet and drawer space, and a 400 square foot room for organized storage.

Building Basement Potential

From a clean slate to a comfortable lounge, this basement renovation turned an empty space into a family entertainment area and office. A polished concrete floor flows between the painted foundation’s rough texture and the drywall’s smooth finish to create an industrial yet sophisticated appearance. Walk down the steps of a suburban home into a contemporary downtown loft.
